Inside: Ditch the chemical cleaners and check out these 7 amazing homemade cleaners you can make yourself. These DIY cleaners work great and will save you money.

ingredients to make homemade cleaners that work

About 5 years ago I really got into making my own cleaners. I started with my favorite granite cleaner and that worked so well I just kept on making more and more cleaners myself. Not only is it extremely easy to make your own cleaners, but you can save yourself a lot of money too.

One of the things that I was most surprised about was that the cleaners that I made myself worked better than the store-bought.

I thought that the cleaners wouldn't work as well or I would have to spend more time cleaning with homemade cleaners. But that isn't the case at all!

So if you want to save money or just make more natural cleaners check out these homemade cleaners that work.

    Homemade Cleaners That Work

Most of these cleaners below only take a few minutes to make and work great! Plus, you can customize the scents of most of them by using different essential oils.

If you are looking for some natural cleaning products check out these recipes below!

Getting Started Making Homemade Cleaners That Work

To make these cleaners I recommend having a few things on hand. I like to use glass bottles instead of plastic. You can buy them in the store or on Amazon.

    • Glass bottles (You can pick up a set on Amazon)
    • Essential Oils (I love lemon essential oil for cleaners)
    • Microfiber Cloths (this is my favorite brand!)

To get started making cleaners I recommend making the one you think you will use the most. Then, as you run out of your store-bought cleaners you can start making the homemade version of the cleaner.

Almost all of the cleaners I use in my house are DIY cleaners I have learned to make over the years. I have around 30 different cleaners I make but these below are my favorites.

This is one of those homemade cleaners that really work to remove food and grime from your countertops. Plus, it will disinfect them too!
