    best uses for vinegar

Vinegar is one of my favorite products. I absolutely hate the smell, but it can clean really well.

I usually buy the large jugs at Aldi and keep one or two around. It is amazing to me what you can use vinegar for.

Vinegar isn't just for cooking. You can use vinegar to clean all over your home. It also works great in the laundry room for laundry. Check out these amazing uses for vinegar.

    Best Uses For Vinegar

To clean your home or laundry with vinegar I recommend just plain white vinegar. You don't need to buy any kind of apple cider vinegar or special cleaning vinegar.

Looking for a natural way to clean your home? Check out this lemon vinegar cleaner. I love to let vinegar and lemons soak for two to three weeks.

Then you can mix the liquid with water to make a great cleaner. This is perfect if you can't stand the smell of vinegar.

Getting Rid Of Smells In A Room

If you have a room with a bad odor in it you can use vinegar to get rid of the smell. Just set out a bowl of vinegar for a few hours and the smell will be gone. You can also use a drop or two of lemon juice in the bowl if you want.

    Clarifying Hair

Some people swear by vinegar for their shampoo everyday. I like to use it once every couple of months as a clarifying treatment. My hair looks much shinier after using it.

    Weed Killer

Vinegar works great as an all-natural weed killer.

A quick mix of salt, vinegar, and dish soap will do great at killing weeds. Just pour some in a spray bottle and apply to weeds.

Make sure you don't get it on a plant or grass that you don't want to kill. It will easily kill off the grass. I like to use it for the driveway and sidewalk cracks.

    Vinegar As A Fabric Softener

Add 1/2 cup vinegar to the fabric softener dispenser in your washing machine. It will make your clothes so much softer and you won't need to use the dryer sheets.

I use it to clean my coffee pot; I run it through a couple times (about half the pot vinegar and half water). Then because I use vinegar periodically in my load of towels to get a really good clean, I pour that used vinegar mixture into the washer and do a load of towels. I have been also told that vinegar in laundry helps colors to hold? Not sure if that is true, but if doing so I would suggest running through an extra rinse to get rid of that vinegar smell!

That is awesome! I love the idea of using the vinegar twice. I haven't heard of the colors holding before. I can't wait to check it out. Thanks!
