One of the things that I love the most about my iphone is the money saving apps I can use on it. Most of these apps you can use on top of coupons and sales to save even more money. They are so easy to use and they don't take a lot of time.
Ibotta is by far my favorite money saving app. You just choose what store you are shopping at and then can pick the offers you want. Just purchase the items and take a picture of the receipt. Once you reach a $5 balance you can have it deposited in your pay-pal account or choose gift cards for Starbucks, iTunes, or Regal Theaters. The best part is that Ibotta can be used with coupons to save even more money. I often find items free or cheap when I use a coupon and Ibotta.
Checkout 51 is a great app that you can use anywhere. They have new offers every Thursday and you have until the following Wednesday to purchase those items. Often they have offers like $.50 off bananas or $.25 off Tomatoes. I love using this app with the sales at Aldi. It can make for a great deal on produce. Plus, just like Ibotta you can use this with coupons. Once you buy the products you take a picture of the receipt. When your balance reaches $20 they will mail you a check.
SavingStar is another great app that can be used to save money on top of sales and coupons. With most stores you enter your store card numbers into your account. Then just "clip" the coupon before you go to the store. The amount the coupon was for will be deposited in your account within 21 days. There are a few stores that don't have a store card, then you just take a picture of the receipt. SavingStar is great because they offer free items on Friday and 20% back on fruits or vegetables on Tuesday. With free products its easy to reach your $5 to cash out.
Shopmium is one of the newer money saving apps out there. But with all the great offers they have they are quickly becoming very popular. If you haven't signed up yet you can use the code GMGYKUPE you can get a free Lindt Chocolate bar. Their offers are often for $1 or more so stacked with coupons and sales you can get free items. You can use Shopmium at just about any store. When you get $5 in your account you can have it deposited in a pay-pal account.
Receipt Hog is a great app because not only can you use a receipt from just about any store, you also don't have to buy certain items. Just take a picture of your receipt from any grocery store, drug store, convenience store or even liquor stores. You can enter up to 3 receipts from a single store each day. You get points for the receipts entered and then can buy Amazon gift cards with the points. The more receipts you enter the more points you earn per receipt.
I love using each of these apps to save money. It only takes a minute or two at the end of each shopping trip to use the apps. It's an easy way to save on top of coupons and sales. I like to save all the money up and cash out in November. Easy money for Christmas presents.
