A couple of years ago I found a Christmas present for my husband that I really wanted to get him. I was so excited about buying it until I saw the shipping cost. The shipping for a $50 item was over $15. I knew I couldn’t spend that much and I started to have second thoughts about buying it. At the last minute, I did a google search and found a website that had a 20% off coupon code plus free shipping. I was able to buy the gift for much less than I had planned.
Since then I have been much better about searching out coupon codes and ways to save before I do any shopping online or in the stores. Sometimes just a few minutes will save you big. If you love to save money check out the best money saving websites.
Retail Me Not
I love to use Retail Me Not for finding a quick coupon code when I am shopping online. If I am buying something it only takes a minute or two go to their website and do a check for a coupon. I have found about 75% of the time I can find a code and save some money.
Ebates is a great way to save money when you are buying anything online. Ebates is a cash back program that rewards you for shopping online. You can earn up to 40% cash back on what you spend by using Ebates. You don’t save the money when you checkout. You get money back in the form of a check or Paypal. Because you can earn cash back from so many places it’s a great way to save a little extra cash. You can see more about Ebates here.
Money Saving Mom
Money Saving Mom is one of the best money saving websites out there. You can find all the of the store deals, print coupons, find out about great freebies, and even see the best Amazon deals of the week. There are a lot of new deals that they put up every day. I like to spend a few minutes every night looking through the deals on the website and printing any coupons.
Groupon is a daily deals site that you can use to get discounts on all sorts of things. We have used Groupon for everything from a restaurant deal to oil changes. They even offer Starbucks gift cards at a discount sometimes. If you sign up with them (it’s free) you receive an email most days telling you about the daily deals they are offering.
Living social is a lot like Groupon. They too have daily deals on different things that you can buy. We love to pick up the deals on restaurants to try out a new place for up to 75% off the normal cost. They also offer a lot of home services so if you need your carpets cleaned or windows washed you can usually get a great deal by looking on Living Social.
