magic eraser uses

A couple of months ago I bought a huge pack of melamine foam on Amazon, aka Magic Erasers. I love Magic Erasers, but they are so expensive in the stores.

I was excited to get 50 for under $5! Since then I have been using these bad boys on just about anything. It is amazing what you can get clean easily with Magic Erasers.

If you haven't tried out some Magic Erasers yet I highly recommend you try them. They are almost like magic. Plus they don't take any cleaning sprays or chemicals.

These are a few of my favorite magic eraser uses for cleaning.

Note: As always, don't forget to test your surface in a small area before really using the magic eraser.

magic eraser wall and baseboard scuffs

Remove Scuff Marks

Removing scuff marks from the baseboards and trim in my house is my favorite use of the magic erasers. It is amazing how gross and disgusting they can get. One easy swipe from the magic eraser and the scuffs and grime are gone.

Remove Soap Scum

If you have soap scum in your bathtub or sink the magic eraser quickly gets rid of all the grime from it. That bathtub ring is clean in seconds with the magic eraser and you don't have to use any chemical cleaners. This is one of the best magic eraser uses.

Polish Silver

You can polish silver quickly and easily with the magic eraser. It works great to get down in the hard to reach areas of heavily patterned silver.

Clean The Crockpot

Get rid of that baked on food in the crockpot with the magic eraser without soaking it overnight. Just get your magic eraser wet and run it over the baked on food to get rid of it. Your crockpot will be clean in no time at all. You can use the magic eraser on most dishes. I like to use a magic eraser instead of a sponge to wash my dishes.

using magic eraser on car

Remove Scuff Marks From Cars

Get rid of the scuff marks on your car with the magic eraser. I had tried just about everything on a big scuff mark on my car and couldn't get rid of it. The magic eraser took it off in seconds. Make sure you are lightly going over the scuff mark and I would test a small area of the paint first. I think this is the best magic eraser uses that I have ever found. They easily pay for themselves.

Clean Tennis Shoes

Grass stained shoes come clean with just a swipe of the magic eraser. It makes shoes look new again. The magic eraser can get off dirt, grass stains, grime, and scuff marks.

Remove Rust Spots

Because the magic eraser is slightly abrasive it works great to remove small rust spots on silverware, knives, scissors, and tools. Just gently rub a wet magic eraser over the rust spots until they disappear. Then rinse and dry.

Clean The Microwave

Cooked on food is no match for the magic eraser. You can just heat up a glass of water for about 1 minute in the microwave and then use a damp magic eraser to clean the cooked on food off the walls of the microwave. It looks spotless again in minutes.

magic eraser on bake wear

Removes Baked On Grease

If you have baked on grease on your glassware you can easily remove it with the magic eraser. The overspray from no-stick spray quickly comes off the glass with the magic eraser.

I read that they're not safe for use on dishes, so I only use mine to swipe off caked on stuff before I put them in the dishwasher. Good tips... Thanks!

I didn't know a magic eraser could do so much. That's really impressive! We are moving soon and have to get a lot of things cleaned up around the apartment before we leave. We're going to try using this for our kitchen.

I would not use it on silver. As you said, the magic eraser is slightly abrasive. This feature actually removes the silver plating!
