affordable essential oils

Five years ago I had no idea what essential oils even were and now I can't imagine my life without them. It seems like in the past couple of years essential oils have become wildly popular. Now everyone from Dr. Oz to Oprah is talking about how wonderful essential oils are. I finally got into essential oils a couple of years ago. My husband got me a small set for Christmas and I fell in love.

Essential oils are great for doing everything from healing a burn to curing a headache. But my favorite use for my essential oils is for cleaning. I use essential oils in my granite cleaner, dusting spray, and toilet cleaner. You can even use essential oils to keep the ants away. I am often searching online for the best way to use essential oils for cleaning.

The one downside to essential oils is they can be kind of pricey. It's often hard to find affordable essential oils. If you talk to some people they will be sure that you need to use a certain brand of essential oil. I am not tied to one brand. I feel like there are a lot of good brands that you can buy. If you are interested in essential oils but don't want the high price tag check out how to get affordable essential oils.

My favorite place to get affordable essential oils is on Amazon. Not only is it easy to order on Amazon, but their prices are great too. I have a few brands that I love and are inexpensive. One of my favorite brands has have been Fabulous Frannie. I started with one of the small boxed sets and have slowly built up my collection. I would guess about 75% of my essential oils are Fabulous Frannie. We go through insane amounts of Peppermint oil in my house and I think we are on our 4th or 5th bottle of Fabulous Frannie peppermint oil. It has an amazing smell that isn't completely overwhelming.

I also buy my doTerra and Young Living oils from Amazon. They are usually way cheaper than buying from a seller. I love doTerra Serenity and Young Living Thieves Oil. I have yet to find a more generic brand that I like as well as those two. The doTerra Serenity is amazing on restless nights that you can't sleep.

If you aren't a big Amazon shopper another great place to get your essential oils from is the grocery store. They are a little more expensive in the store than what you will get on Amazon. More and more I have noticed the local grocery stores selling the essential oils. I have found a few good brands at Fresh Thyme and even at my local Meijer grocery store. I usually buy the NOW essential oils at the grocery. It seems to be the brand that most grocery stores carry.

Another great place to get affordable essential oils is the local farmer's markets. During the summer I have noticed there are usually a couple of different essential oil sellers. Some are the more expensive essential oils but a few are usually very reasonably priced. I enjoy spending a Saturday morning walking the farmer's market and picking up an essential oil or two.

Essential oils don't have to be expensive and overpriced. You can easily find some that will work with your budget. Where do you like to buy your essential oils?

I avoided getting into using oils because of the cost. One day while waiting to pick up my prescriptions at Walgreens I noticed they had essential oils. They are regularly $6.95 a bottle but we're 2 for $10 with the rewards card. I bought 2 to try them out. They are great quality. I found diffusers at Walmart for less than $24 that work great. So I now have a nice supply.

I hadn't seen essential oils at Walgreens. I will have to look for them next time I am there. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you for suggesting Fabulous Frannie. I am excited to try this brand as I have tried numerous other brands. I have become partial to Aura Cacia brand. Can't wait to try Frannie Fabulolous.

Another oil we find very reasonably priced online is Eden Garden. It offers free shipping too. It can also be purchased off of Amazon
