    what to buy in july

Inside: Trying to save more money? Check out the best things to buy in July to really save. It’s an easy way to save more money without much work.

best things to buy in July

One of my favorite (and one of the easiest!) ways to save money is by stocking up on foods when the prices are at their lowest. I can buy foods for 50-60% of the regular price. When I see a great price I buy enough to last us a few months.

The best part about stocking up when things are on sale is that it doesn’t take a lot of my time. Just stock up to really save money on your grocery bill. I am able to get my grocery bill to around $50 a week by stocking up and saving.

July is a great month to stock up on foods and deals. There are so many fresh fruits and vegetables that are on sale in July. We will also see some fantastic deals on picnic foods and grilling items. Save some money and check out the best things to buy in July.

Seasonal Produce To Buy In July

I love all the produce we see on sale this time of year. It is a great time to really stock up on what you can.  I love eating lots of corn and watermelon this month. I also like to stock up on peaches while the prices are low. You could either can or freeze them while they are cheap. Lydia at Thrifty Frugal Mom has a great tutorial on canning peaches.

I also like to make all of my preserves during this time. It’s a great way to save my family some money and we get homemade, too. Strawberry freezer preserves are easy to make and my favorite!

We will see sales on Blueberries, Cantaloupe, Corn, Cucumbers, Garlic, Grapes, Green Beans, Kiwi, Peaches, Strawberries, Summer Squash, Tomatoes, and Watermelon. Stock up and preserve, can, or freeze what your family loves. It is an easy way to save money.

Best Foods To Buy In July

It’s National Ice Cream Month, so there will be some fantastic sales on ice cream and ice cream novelties. Stock up your freezer with enough to last all summer long. With my son home from school, he always eats plenty of ice cream. It is an easy and frugal snack to have on these hot days.

July is also national hot dog month. We will see so many sales on ketchup, mustard, and hot dogs. If I see a good deal on hot dogs I will buy enough to last until fall.  They are great to throw on the grill as a last minute lunch. Ketchup and mustard will be the lowest you will see all year. Stock up enough to last until next summer.

With the 4th of July we will also see good deals on other picnic items like chips and iced tea. These are both items that you can stock up on without needed a bunch of room or a freezer. If you find a sale on chips that your family eats buy a couple of bags and stock up to save.

Other Deals To Buy In July

After the 4th of July, there will be some good sales on grills and fireworks. If you need a new grill it will be the best time to buy it. Also, keep in mind you can buy fireworks and keep them until next year. It’s a great way to save money.

Although I am not at all ready to think about heading back to school yet, I am grabbing some of the deals popping up. I love getting the great school and office supplies for only pennies. You can start to pick up some back to school supplies for your kids and get any household office supplies you need too.

We should see some great prices on paper goods such as plates, napkins and other picnic items too.

I know it seems like summer just started, but summer clothes will start to go on sale later in July. You can look for good deals on summer clothes for next year. If your kids are smaller consider buying them one size up for next year when you find a really good deal.

Saving money doesn’t always have to take a lot of time. Just by stocking up on a few extras when they are at their lowest can save you $100’s. Want to see some more money saving tips? Check out my favorite tips to stick to your grocery budget.

As an ice cream lover, I love all the ice cream deals this time of year and always try to stock up. And the seasonal fruits and veggie deals are always a favorite too.

I love stocking up on chips during the sales! I put them in the freezer and pull them a little before eating...they’re crisp and taste just as fresh as they’d just been packaged!
