Dealing with yellow armpit stains? Check out this easy way to remove armpit stains. Never deal with yellow armpit stains again with this simple tip!

remove armpit stains

Are you throwing out your white shirts because of armpit stains? I love white shirts to wear around the house, but I tend to have a big problem with armpit stains in the t-shirts.

Luckily, I found a great recipe to remove the yellowing from armpit stains. The best part is it only takes a few minutes and is very cheap to remove armpit stains.

Armpit stains can be stubborn and difficult to remove. Fortunately, there is an easy and effective method to get rid of them. Learn how to remove armpit stains with this quick and simple solution.

How To Remove Yellow Armpit Stains

It's really easy to see all the staining on my shirt, it's there and gross. I had stopped wearing this shirt because it was too yellow under the armpits.

I have heard that the yellowing is from the deodorant, not your actual sweat. But, still, it is so gross! I am ready to remove armpit stains from this shirt.

You will need a few things to get started:

  • baking soda
  • hydrogen peroxide
  • water
  • Fabric brush (I love this one from Amazon)

Start by making up a batch of the armpit stain cleaner.

Step 1: Mix 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide in a bowl.

Step 2: Add 1 cup of water in the bowl and mix well.

Note: It is a very watery mixture, so don't be concerned if yours is very watery.

Step 3: Spoon or pour it onto the armpit areas.

Note: You can see below how the watery mixture soaks in the shirt and the baking soda sits on top.

Step 4: Let the shirt soak overnight with the mixture. I usually just let it sit in the laundry room sink.

Step 5: After letting it soak overnight use a fabric brush and give a little scrub on each armpit.

Step 6: Put it in the washing machine with hot water and laundry detergent. I would recommend using the hottest water possible.

Note: You may want to do a double rinse on the shirts. They tend to get stiff from all of the baking soda.

Step 7: Remove from the washing machine and dry as usual.

You can repeat the process if you still have some stains.

You can do three or four shirts with the amount, so you may want to wait until you have a couple of shirts to do.

Although I have tried this a couple of times on different colored shirts, I don't recommend you do it unless you are willing to possibly ruin the shirt.

It works fantastic on white shirts, but I have heard that hydrogen peroxide can bleach colors. If you are dealing with deodorant stains on dark shirts you can try this trick on how to remove deodorant build up from dark clothes.

You don't need to throw out those deodorant-stained shirts anymore. Get rid of those embarrassing armpit stains easily and overnight.

This is the best way to remove armpit stains. It has saved so many of my favorite shirts.

I haven't tried it on Satin. If I don't know how it will work on a fabric then I wait until the stain is bad enough I don't wear the shirt anymore. That way if it ruins it you really aren't out anything. I would love to know if it works or not.
