I love the fall season and all it offers like cool weather, pumpkins and apples. Ever since a friend introduced me to this dip I have been completely in love. It is so creamy and rich. It’s almost more of a cheesecake taste than caramel. The kids will happily finish their apples when you serve it with this amazing caramel toffee dip.
Mix one 8 oz. package of cream cheese with about 8 oz. of caramel. I love the Marzetti Brand caramel, but you can use any kind. Blend well until the mixture is smooth.
Spread the mixture out on a plate and place in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
While it is in the fridge break up one Heath bar. I just leave it in the wrapper and run a rolling pin over it a couple of times. After 20 minutes, remove the cream cheese mixture from the refrigerator and spoon 1/4 cup caramel over it.
Sprinkle the dip with the Heath bar crumbles.
Serve with an apple for a yummy side or dessert. It’s also fantastic with some pretzels. Of course, then I can’t pretend it’s a side. 😉
