how to make wrinkle releaser

Inside: Want to save more money? Skip the expensive wrinkle releaser and make this simple homemade wrinkle releaser. It’s so inexpensive to make.

homemade wrinkle releaser

I am really bad with laundry. I, for some reason, can wash and dry the laundry, but can’t get it put away.

This means we are always and forever dealing with wrinkled clothes. Over the years I have realized wrinkle releaser is my best friend. I love how it quickly removes the wrinkles from our clothes.

The Downy brand that you buy in the store is great, the only problem is the price. I usually pay close to $5 a bottle.

So, when I came across this recipe here I was so excited. I have used this recipe of homemade wrinkle releaser for the last couple of years and it works great.

If you are tired of wrinkles in your clothes and don’t want to pull out the iron check out how to make homemade wrinkle release spray.

How To Make Homemade Wrinkle Release Spray

To make the homemade wrinkle releaser you will need a few things.

  • Spray Bottle (I love these from Amazon)
  • Water
  • Fabric Softener (Any brand)

I have tried different kinds of fabric softener and can’t tell the difference, so I just stick with the cheapest or on sale that week.

Also if you travel a lot you may want to make up an airplane approved sized plastic spray bottle to travel with you too. My husband loves the DIY wrinkle release spray when he has to travel for work.

Getting Started Making Wrinkle Releaser

To get started you will measure out 2 tablespoons of the fabric softener and 2 cups of water into a container that is easy to pour from.

Mix it together until the water is blended in. Then, pour in a spray bottle.

Place the top back on the spray bottle and you are ready to use your DIY wrinkle release spray.

Using The Homemade Wrinkle Releaser

Whenever your laundry is a bit wrinkled just grab the spray bottle of homemade wrinkle release and give it a few shakes to mix it up.

Then, spray a generous amount on the garment and brush your fingers over it.

The wrinkles disappear and within a few minutes, the item is dry. Plus, it makes your clothes smell great too.

I love to have a bottle of the homemade wrinkle releaser in my closet for wrinkled clothes.

I’m totally going to try this since I sometimes forget laundry in the dryer and I hate to iron too.

It’s great for that! I haven’t used my iron in years. 🙂

Okay, I’m skeptical, as someone that hates wrinkles. Does the spray leave a spot on the clothes? Does the clothing truly look like it does not need to be ironed, after you have used the spray? I don’t doubt you; just want to make sure before I buy the product.

Once the spray dries it doesn’t leave any spots on the clothes. I use it on my husbands white dress shirts without any problems. I personally think it looks great after being sprayed. No iron needed.

This is awesome! I don’t own an iron and always throw clothes in the dryer before wearing if they are wrinkled. This is so muchfaster and leaves clothes smelling extra nice. My husband couldn’t believe it worked and he loves the way his clothes smell now. Thanks for sharing.
