I have found there are a few things that are cheaper to buy on Amazon, plus they get delivered to your door instead of having to go to the store.

Furnace Filters

I love getting my furnace filters from Amazon. Before we started buying them there we would often forget when we installed the last one. Then, we would have to make a trip to Lowe's or Home Depot to buy a new one.

Usually, we would end up buying more than just a furnace filter. With Amazon, we have our furnace filter on the subscribe and save. Every 3 months we have a new filter show up at our door and I know it is time to replace it.

Not only can I get a better deal on a furnace filter with Amazon, but I also get the reminder when it shows up.

Replacing your furnace filter regularly helps keep your energy bills down. Plus regularly changing your filter will help your furnace have fewer maintenance problems.

Batteries are often very expensive in the store. I have found that Amazon has better prices. Plus, I can put them on the 6-month subscription to regularly get the batteries.

Every time I get a new pack of batteries it reminds me that I need to change the batteries in the smoke detectors.

It's easy and it saves a little bit of money. It also gives me some piece of mind knowing that our smoke detector batteries are fresh.

Books

I love getting books from Amazon. If you read a lot of new release books the prices are significantly cheaper than at a bookstore.

The real way to save on books is if you have a Kindle or other device to read their ebooks. There are thousands of free ebooks that you can find on Amazon.

They also have plenty of books for between $.99-$2.99. If I am bored I can grab one of the free ebooks. It's great to get books for free or very cheap.

Office Supplies

I usually get my pencils & pens at back-to-school deals around town. However, I do love Amazon for printer paper, ink, and toner.

I have found that I can save a lot of money over the local office supply stores. Next time you are running low see if you can find a deal on Amazon.

It's great because you can read the reviews before you buy.

Toilet Paper

We go through a crazy amount of toilet paper and paper towels in our house. I have found that I can usually find a good deal on Amazon for some toilet paper.

I don't recommend the subscribe and save unless you are brand loyal. I like to shop around the different brands and then see what is the best price. You can just go to Amazon and search toilet paper to see what good deals pop up.

Pet Food

We use the big 40-pound bag of dog food that is only sold at pet stores. It's nice not to have to make a special trip to the pet store and lug home a large bag.

Plus, I have noticed that Amazon is about 15% cheaper than most pet stores. It's a real win-win for me. If you buy a lot of pet food make sure you check out Amazon to see if you can get a better price.

Movies

We use Vidangel for most movies, but if we can't get the movie on Vidangel then we usually use Amazon.

They have a good selection of online rentals for free or cheap.  I have found that it is often easier (and sometimes cheaper) than leaving the house to go to Redbox.

Kitchen Gadgets

I love checking out all the reviews on Amazon for the latest and greatest kitchen gadgets.

I spent about 4-5 hours researching slow cookers before I finally bought mine. I bought this one by the way and I love it! It is so nice to see what other people think of the kitchen appliances before I spend my money on them.

I also noticed they sell unusual kitchen gadgets like pineapple corers and veggie spiralizers for much less than what you can find in the stores.
