Valentines Rice Krispie Treats Recipe

Celebrate Valentines day with a fun twist on classic Rice Krispies by adding cake mix, cutting them into hearts, and dipping them into melted candy.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 Tbsp. Margarine
  • 1 package Marshmallows
  • 6 1/2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1/3 cup Cake Mix powder mix
  • 1 package candy melts 12 oz
  • Sprinkles

Method
 

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter and marshmallows together over medium-low heat.
  2. Stir in the cake mix.
  3. Use a spatula to fold in the cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture.
  4. Spread into a 9x13 casserole dish and let them set for 20 minutes.
  5. Transfer the crispy treats onto parchment paper.
  6. Use a heart cookie cutter to cut out each one.
  7. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  8. Dip the Rice Krispy treats into the melted candy, and add Valentine's day sprinkles immediately.
  9. Allow them to set before storing.
