Buying while foods are in season doesn’t take a lot of time. Just stock up on foods when they are at their cheapest, so you can have them all year. Check out the best things to buy in July to really help stretch your budget.
I love all the produce we see on sale this time of year. It is a great time to really stock up on what you can. I like to make all of my preserves during this time. It’s a great way to save my family some money and we get homemade, too.
We will see sales on Blueberries, Cantaloupe, Corn, Cucumbers, Garlic, Grapes, Green Beans, Kiwi, Peaches, Strawberries, Summer Squash, Tomatoes, and Watermelon.
It’s National Ice Cream Month, so there will be some fantastic sales on ice cream and ice cream novelties. It’s also national hot dog month, so we will see lots of sales on hot dogs and other grilling items. Plus, with the 4th of July we should see great Soda and Iced Tea Sales.
We should see some great prices on paper goods such as plates, napkins and other BBQ items. I know it seems like summer just started, but summer clothes will start to go on sale later in July. Hold off until after the 4th of July to save on grills. Toward the end of July we will start to see school supplies go on sale.
